Checking out a "person"?

This is amazing.... I guess if anyone can provide such service, it has to be liberal enough like the Swedes. Or the Kiwis, for that matter.

Such a service, in theroy can promote communication and understanding between different social groups in a society. Or is it? That really depends on which society such service is applied to. In a liberal country like Sweden, you got people that should appreciate the chance to get to know members of the society, which are not always in the "mainstream". In Asia (especially in China and Hong Kong), whether people would want such a chance at all is a question to reckon. Whether people will actually take part in sharing their experiences and views, and not to consider themselves (or being considered as) zoo exhibits, is also something that Asians will have to think about.

It all comes down to how developed a society is, how well their people handles different ideas, preferences, and viewpoints. I am green with envy that the Swedes has already gone so far up the pyramid, when we are still struggling with a society that does not even know how to tolerate differences among people yet.
